We didn't plan to make a stop at Fairlie specifically, but coincidentally our AirBnB was close by and our host highly recommended checking out Fairlie Bakehouse. Little did we know they apparently have the 'best pies in NZ' and sell over 2000+ pies a day :o

Reviews warned of really long lines at peak periods but fortunately we visited on a weekday morning and it was fairlie quiet. We got their steak and also pork belly pies. I wasn't a fan of the pork belly pie (not a fan of pork belly in general) but thought their steak pie was delish!
